As the person responsible for this site, Deutsche Leasing has entered into agreements with site operators which, among other things, regulate the conditions for using the social media site.

II. How is your data processed when you visit the social media pages?

When you visit the social media pages of Deutsche Leasing, the site operator collects and processes personal data from you - even if you are not registered in the respective networks.

Some of the personal data that the site operators collect and process when using the respective fan pages is made available to Deutsche Leasing in aggregated form via the so-called "Insights" (user statistics). For this purpose, the site operator stores a cookie on the user's end device. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored on your end device. This serves to be able to use this information again at a later date. The cookie used within the fan page contains a unique user code that is assigned to each user. The cookie remains active for a period of two years, provided it is not deleted.

The user statistics produced are transmitted to Deutsche Leasing exclusively in anonymised form. Deutsche Leasing has no access to the underlying data.

III. for what purposes are the data processed?

The site operator uses the data collected during visits to the fan pages in particular to distribute individualised advertising via his network. Which personal data is processed for which purposes can be found in the respective terms of use and guidelines.

Deutsche Leasing uses the information obtained to optimise its offer in the social networks, for example to better tailor content to the needs of customers and users. For example, Deutsche Leasing obtains information on which content and applications users particularly value in order to provide them with more relevant content and to develop functions that could be of greater interest to users.

The information collected is also used by the respective networks to produce demographic and geographical analyses and make these available to Deutsche Leasing. This information is used by Deutsche Leasing to place targeted, interest-based advertisements without immediately knowing the identity of a visitor. If visitors use social media pages on several terminals, the recording and evaluation can also be carried out across terminals if the visitors are registered and logged in to their own profile.

IV. Legal basis and legitimate interests

By processing personal data, Deutsche Leasing pursues the interest of providing users with up-to-date information and interaction possibilities in social networks. The processing is based on a balancing of interests in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO, which always takes your interests into account.

V. Is personal data passed on to third parties?

Deutsche Leasing has no influence on whether LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, Kununu or Xing transfers personal data to third parties. Deutsche Leasing does not pass on personal data to third parties.

VI. Your rights and further information

  • Right to information, Art. 15 DSGVO
  • Right to authorisation, Art. 16 DSGVO
  • Right of deletion, Art. 17 DSGVO
  • Right to restrict processing, Art. 18 DSGVO
  • Right to data transferability, Art. 20 DSGVO
  • Right of appeal, Art. 21 DSGVO

Through the personal (advertising) settings in the social networks, you can influence the extent to which your user behaviour when visiting the fan page is recorded.

If you are already a Deutsche Leasing customer, your data will also be processed in the context of your business relationship with Deutsche Leasing. You will find information on this in the data protection information.

Share function with social media presences using the Shariff media button

The c't project Shariff replaces the usual share buttons of social networks and protects your surfing behavior from prying eyes. Nevertheless, a single click on the button is enough to share information with others. You don't need to do anything else for this - the webmaster has already taken care of everything.

The usual social media buttons transfer the user data to Facebook & Co. with every page view and give the social networks precise information about your surfing behavior (user tracking). To do this, you do not need to be logged in or a member of the network. In contrast, a Shariff button establishes direct contact between social network and visitor only when the latter actively clicks on the Share button.

In this way, Shariff prevents you from leaving a digital trail on every page you visit and improves data protection. Shariff acts as an intermediate instance here: Instead of the browser, the website operator's server queries the number of likes - and only once a minute, to keep traffic within limits. The visitor remains anonymous.
